Price Increases, Volatile Supply Markets, and Macroeconomics

How to navigate a world in constant change

The inflation was close to coming under control, but unrest in the Middle East has once again pushed energy prices sharply upward. The third oil crisis is now a reality. We can almost set our clocks to the next wave of supplier price increases.

How do we handle supplier price increase requests both in the short and long term?

We have designed a focused and practical training day where you will receive concrete tools to manage supplier price increase demands.

You will gain insight into macroeconomic cycles and how they influence supply markets. You will also learn how the PMI (Purchasing Managers Index) can be an invaluable indicator of where we are in the macroeconomic cycle.

Energy prices are currently the main driver of cost increases. You will be introduced to simple and effective tools for analysing the real impact of rising energy costs on your suppliers — both direct and indirect. You will also learn a highly effective and practical 5‑step model for handling general supplier price increases — the “second wave” we can expect, as energy costs affect virtually everything we buy.
